Samenvatting

Dit hoofdstuk beschrijft hoe slijtage van de gewrichtsoppervlakken van een gewrichtsprothese uiteindelijk kan leiden tot loslating van een prothesecomponent. Verder worden technische ontwikkelingen besproken die moeten leiden tot een langere levensduur van de prothese.
