Samenvatting

Perifere nervusfacialisverlamming is een mutilerende aandoening waarvan de psychische en sociale gevolgen groot kunnen zijn. Indien geen oorzaak voor de verlamming wordt gevonden, spreken we van ‘idiopathische perifere facialisparese’ of ‘Bellse parese’.
