Samenvatting

Een 32-jarige vrouw krijgt pijn aan de voorzijde van de knie tijdens hardlopen. Anterieure kniepijn bij sportende volwassenen wordt meestal veroorzaakt door een patellofemoraal probleem of door een tendinose van de patellapees. Het laatste wordt ook wel een jumper’s knee genoemd. Een patellapeestendinose kan in tegenstelling tot andere locaties van tendinose al op vrij jonge leeftijd voorkomen. Het hoofdstuk beschrijft de casus, symptomen, de differentiaaldiagnostiek en ten slotte de behandeling. Een belangrijk deel van de behandeling bestaat uit oefentherapie. Drie typen oefentherapeutische programma’s worden beschreven.
