Samenvatting

Acute toxische hepatitis is slechts een van de vormen van hepatotoxiciteit. Ook chronische hepatitis en cirrose, steatose, vasculaire afwijkingen en tumoren kunnen het gevolg zijn van blootstelling aan hepatotoxische agentia. De fysiopathologie is complex. Naast directe en indirecte, immuungemedieerde toxiciteit spelen ook genetische en verworven factoren een rol. Het cytochroom-P450-systeem neemt een centrale plaats is. De klinische presentatie, het tijdsverloop, de laboratoriumafwijkingen en de evolutie verschillen naargelang van het toxine, en er worden verschillende soorten toxische hepatitis onderscheiden. In deze bijdrage bespreken we deze soorten systematisch en behandelen we de meest representatieve voorbeelden.hepatotoxiciteit acute hepatitis
