Samenvatting

Echoscopie speelt een essentiële rol bij het beoordelen van het adnex (ovarium en tuba). Dit hoofdstuk legt de nadruk op het gebruik van eenduidige terminologie en beschrijft de morfologische kenmerken van verschillende ovariële cysten. Er worden modellen besproken die helpen bij het inschatten van het risico op maligniteit. Daarnaast wordt het gebruik van echoscopie bij het beoordelen van de functionaliteit van de tuba toegelicht.
