Samenvatting

Deze bijdrage schetst een beknopte geschiedenis van schematherapie, ook wel schemagerichte therapie genoemd. Er wordt betoogd dat er grofweg twee definities van schematherapie zijn: een brede definitie, en een engere, waarbij de laatste samenvalt met schematherapie zoals die door Jeffrey Young is ontwikkeld.
