Kernpunten

  • Een jumper’s knee (ook wel patellatendinopathie) is een overbelastingsblessure van de knie, waarbij de patellapees is aangedaan.
  • Het komt vooral voor bij sporters die veel springen.
  • In het algemeen leidt rust en het staken van sport in het merendeel van de gevallen tot vermindering van klachten.
  • Op basis van consensus en klinische ervaring kan oefentherapie overwogen worden bij de behandeling van de jumper’s knee.
  • Er is geen bewijs voor aanvullende therapie zoals dry needling of taping.
