Pitted keratolysis is een bacteriële huidinfectie van de voetzolen of handpalmen die vrijwel altijd gepaard gaat met hyperhidrosis.
De diagnose wordt gesteld op basis van de specifieke kratervormige putjes en erosies op de voetzolen bij lichamelijk onderzoek.
Adviseer het dragen van ventilerend schoeisel en frequent wisselen van sokken.
Behandeling met clindamycine- of erytromycinelotion is meestal effectief.
