Kernpunten

  • Een surfersoor is een exostose van het gehoorkanaal, die vooral voorkomt bij sporters die vaak met koud water of koude wind in aanraking komen.
  • Door belemmerde afvloed van vocht en vuil is het risico op otitis externa vergroot.
  • Bij progressie van de aandoening kan een geleidingsgehoorverlies optreden.
  • Het beleid is gericht op preventie van progressie van de aandoening door adequate oorbescherming tijdens watersporten.
