Kernpunten

  • Het hand-armvibratiesyndroom komt voor bij mensen die met trilgereedschap werken.
  • Het syndroom wordt gekenmerkt door periodiek verbleken van de vingers, gevoelloosheid, tintelingen en verminderde tactiele discriminatie van de vingers.
  • De prognose is ongunstig; het is een progressieve aandoening en potentieel invaliderend met gevolgen voor ADL-vaardigheden.
  • Wanneer de diagnose hand-armvibratiesyndroom is gesteld, is uitleg over de diagnose en het reduceren van blootstelling aan trillingen essentieel.
