In Getting to 30: A Parent’s Guide to the 20-Something Years, Jeffrey Arnett and Elizabeth Fishel explain the younger generation to the older generation in a way to help parents understand their grown-up kids. With the change in the path to adulthood, life has changed for 20-somethings today in every sphere from schooling to falling in love. By writing this book, the authors wanted to encourage the strong bond that grown-up kids still want to have with their parents and to advise parents on how to step back and stay connected. The primary purpose of this book is to guide parents as their children make their way through the years of emerging adulthood and to help parents find their way along with their children. …
