The purpose and goal of Meredith Dank’s book was to gain more empirical evidence about the population of commercially exploited children. Many aspects of the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) are unknown: how large the population is, what leads youth to this population, what policies can help youth, etc. The author sought to strengthen the understanding of this phenomenon, inform policy, and bring attention to this important issue affecting children worldwide. …
